Fishing Heber Springs

In and around Heber Springs, there are 12 types of fish you can find and catch throughout the year, including brown and rainbow trout, cutthroats, blue and channel catfish, and largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass, among others.

Greers Ferry Lake

Greers Ferry is among the five largest lakes in Arkansas and has been named one of the cleanest lakes in the United States. It is also tops in providing great fishing, water sports, boating, and camping. The award-winning reservoir served as the national model for environmental cleanliness.

Little Red River

The Little Red River is a 102-mile-long river in White, Van Buren, Searcy, Stone and Cleburne counties of north-central Arkansas. The Little Red River emerges from beneath massive dam at Greers Ferry Lake. It is a premier-class trout stream. Rainbows, browns and cutthroats are caught for some 35-river miles below the dam.

The JFK campground is conveniently located by Collins Creek and the National Fish Hatcher and offers both a boat dock and walk-in access to the Little Red River.

Cow Shoals

Located at the corner of Cow Shoals Road and Riverbend Road. Provides walk-in access to the Little Red River

Barnett Park

Off of Wilburn Road (Highway 110) just on the south side of the bridge over the Little Red River, across from Cafe Klaser at 1414 Wilburn Rd, Heber Springs, AR 72543. You can also enjoy historic Winkley Bridge.

Winkley Shoals

Libby Shoals

Provides walk-in access to the Little Red River.

Lobo Access

Located on Vogel Drive, off Libby Road just East of the Libby Shoals access point. It offers Bank Fishing, Boat Ramp, Wade Fishing.
